On Saturday, March 18th from 10:00 to 12:00 Power Cuts in Santa Ana will host St. Baldrick's, the head shaving event for childhood cancer research. The St. Baldrick's Foundation exists to raise awarness and funds to conquer childhood cancer. Why are we having this event? In the United States, forty six children, or two classrooms of students, are diagnosed with cancer everyday. Over the last twenty five years, the incidence of childhood cancer was almos fatal. Today, through advancements in diagnosis and treatment, 77 percent of children can now be cured. Despite this remarkable progress, cancer remains the leading cause of death in children. Step up and support this local event by donating to those brave people who have chosen to shave their heads for this noble cause. Or, become a shavee yourself. You can donate at www.stbaldricks.org.
